LONDON: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, met with Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the state visit of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, to the United Kingdom.
They reviewed the strategic dimension of the Omani-British relations which are based on a shared history and mutual interests. They also discussed ways to enhance the existing partnership to meet the aspirations of the two friendly countries.
The meeting also touched on the changes currently taking place in the region with both sides emphasizing the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and intensifying diplomatic efforts to foster understanding, create conditions for addressing challenges and strengthening the foundations of security and stability. — ONA
